The European Union’s unelected judicial arm has launched a direct assault on Hungarian national sovereignty, ruling that the country’s 2021 child protection laws are in breach of EU treaty values.
The legislation, which was passed by a democratically elected supermajority in the Hungarian parliament to prevent the promotion of homosexuality and gender ideology to children under 18, is now being targeted by Brussels as a violation of so-called 'EU values.' The European Court of Justice (ECJ) went further than ever before, claiming these protections for children infringe upon the 'founding values' of the EU.
By prioritizing the demands of international activists over the will of the Hungarian people, the court has effectively declared that a nation’s right to protect its own children is subordinate to the bloc's ideological mandates.
With the recent political shift in Hungary, incoming leadership is under intense pressure from European Commission bureaucrats to scrap these laws in exchange for the release of withheld funding.
This ruling serves as a stark warning to any member state that dares to prioritize traditional values over the progressive consensus enforced by the EU's legal apparatus.
