The internationally recognized Yemeni government, supported by a Saudi-led coalition, has launched a decisive military offensive to reclaim territory seized by the Iran-backed Houthi movement. Dubbed 'Operation Yemen Dawn,' the campaign aims to dismantle the Houthi grip on the country and restore stability to the vital Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Pro-government forces, including the National Shield and Giants Brigades, have reportedly secured key coastal areas and the Dhubab military airfield, effectively cutting off critical supply lines for the militants.

While Houthi propagandists attempt to deny the territorial losses, satellite imagery confirms the intensity of the conflict, including strikes on Saudi infrastructure that the Houthis have targeted in a desperate attempt to retaliate.

The Houthi militia, which has been terrorizing the region since ousting the government in 2014, recently attempted to weaponize the Red Sea by threatening international shipping lanes, a move that has spiked global oil prices and necessitated this robust military response.

As the Saudi-led coalition provides round-the-clock air support, destroying hundreds of high-value Houthi targets, the message from the Yemeni leadership is clear: the time for de-escalation has passed, and the mission to liberate the nation from terrorist control will continue until the job is finished.

Allies including Turkey and Pakistan have signaled their support, invoking defense agreements to bolster the coalition's efforts against this Iranian proxy force.
