The Iranian theocracy has officially transitioned power to Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed during the current conflict involving the United States and Israel.

The transition follows a week of state-orchestrated mourning and rallies designed to project strength while the regime faces significant instability. The new leader, Mojtaba, has remained largely absent from the public eye since the strike that claimed his father's life, reportedly due to injuries he sustained in the same attack.

This leadership change occurs as Iran continues to grapple with the fallout of its hostile regional policies and the persistent military pressure from those it has targeted.

As the new administration takes the helm, the world watches to see if Tehran will continue its path of state-sponsored terror or if the internal pressure of the conflict will force a change in their reckless strategy.
