President Trump is moving to restore sanity to American immigration policy by cracking down on the predatory 'birth tourism' industry. By signing two new executive orders, the administration is taking direct aim at foreign nationals who treat American citizenship as a commodity to be gamed.

These orders expand the criteria for denying birthright citizenship, specifically targeting children born to parents who are members of foreign terrorist organizations, foreign government employees, or those who have attempted to gain status through fraud.

This is a necessary step toward protecting the integrity of our borders and ensuring that citizenship is not a loophole for those who have no genuine ties to our nation.

The birth tourism industry, which relies on deceptive marketing to entice foreign nationals to travel to the U.S. solely for the purpose of securing citizenship for their offspring, has long operated as an affront to our national sovereignty.

While critics and bureaucratic entities raise concerns about implementation, the administration is rightfully prioritizing the protection of the American social contract. Solicitor General D.

John Sauer has correctly identified that the current interpretation of the 14th Amendment has led to unintended consequences, effectively allowing anyone with a plane ticket to bypass the standard, legal immigration process.

By tightening these regulations and enhancing enforcement, the administration is signaling that American citizenship is a privilege, not a product for global exploitation.
