President Trump Outsmarts Media With Tactical Plane Swap

The president successfully bypassed the press pool during a high-stakes NATO summit, proving once again that he controls the narrative.

In a move that highlights the constant tension between the Commander-in-Chief and a prying press corps, President Donald Trump successfully executed a tactical plane swap while departing a NATO summit in Turkey last month.

While the media was busy monitoring the movements of the primary Air Force One jet, the president was whisked away to a smaller C-32A military aircraft via a catering truck. This maneuver, which took place at Ankara airport, effectively bypassed the press pool that had been instructed to board the main jet and keep their window shades closed.

By utilizing a modified Boeing 757 typically reserved for the vice-president, Trump demonstrated that he prioritizes operational security over the convenience of journalists who often act as a distraction.

This incident serves as a reminder that the president is not beholden to the media's desire for constant surveillance, and he will take necessary steps to maintain his own security protocols regardless of how the press feels about being kept in the dark.
