The cost of Iranian belligerence continues to mount as the U.S. military confirms another service member has been killed in northern Iraq. This tragedy follows a lethal strike on a base in Jordan that claimed two more American lives, with search efforts for missing personnel still ongoing.
The latest casualty occurred during the disposal of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone, a clear reminder that our forces are operating in a hostile environment where the regime in Tehran is actively targeting American personnel and regional stability.
The escalation comes after the total collapse of a fragile ceasefire, with Iran now brazenly threatening commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and launching missiles that have forced our allies in Jordan to scramble their defenses.
While the Iranian regime attempts to play the victim, the reality is that their Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps continues to orchestrate attacks on American interests. Washington has rightly responded by targeting the military logistics infrastructure that enables this aggression, refusing to let Iran’s provocations go unpunished.
As the conflict widens, it is clear that the era of diplomatic appeasement is over. American strength remains the only language the mullahs in Tehran understand, and our military is now tasked with the necessary work of degrading Iran’s ability to threaten our people and our allies.
