Iranian Aggression Continues to Choke Global Shipping in the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran’s regime continues its campaign of maritime terror, targeting commercial vessels with missiles and drones while peddling transparent lies to cover its tracks.

The volatile Strait of Hormuz remains a dangerous flashpoint as the Iranian regime persists in its campaign of maritime sabotage. Following the latest attack on the Panama-flagged tanker El Gaia, which left two sailors missing and the vessel crippled, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard attempted to peddle the absurd claim that the ship struck naval mines.

The United States military has rightly dismissed these fabrications, confirming that the tanker was targeted by an Iranian missile and a subsequent drone strike.

This pattern of behavior is consistent with the regime’s ongoing efforts to disrupt global energy supplies, mirroring a similar attack earlier this month on a Saudi-owned tanker that also resulted in the deaths of two Filipino sailors.

Despite the regime's attempts to shift the narrative, the facts remain clear: Iran is actively targeting commercial shipping in a desperate bid to maintain control over this vital waterway.

While the U.S. military continues to push back against these provocations—including the successful defense of a sea drone against Iranian theft attempts—the region remains effectively paralyzed by Tehran’s belligerence.

With 22 seafarers killed in 79 incidents since February, the international community is witnessing the direct consequences of a rogue state that views global commerce as a hostage to its geopolitical agenda.
