Trump Holds Firm: No End to Hormuz Blockade Until Iran Agrees to Terms

The administration is successfully leveraging economic pressure to force Tehran to the table as peace talks remain in limbo.

President Trump is refusing to blink in the face of Iranian defiance, confirming that the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports will remain firmly in place until a deal is struck.

The blockade, which has been in effect for a week, is proving to be a highly effective tool of American strength, with President Trump noting on Truth Social that the strategy is absolutely destroying the Iranian regime and that the U.S. is winning the conflict by a wide margin. Since the enforcement began, U.S.

Central Command has successfully intercepted 27 vessels, forcing them to turn back or return to port. While Tehran predictably labels these lawful enforcement actions as 'piracy,' the reality is that Iran violated the ceasefire by firing on U.S. interests.

As the current ceasefire approaches its Wednesday expiration, uncertainty looms over whether Iran will show up for a second round of peace talks in Pakistan.

Vice President JD Vance is prepared to lead the U.S. delegation, joined by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, yet the Iranian regime continues its typical gamesmanship by refusing to confirm its attendance. Despite Iran’s posturing and their foreign ministry’s complaints about 'excessive demands,' the U.S. remains committed to its position of strength.

Pakistan is currently preparing for the potential summit, but the message from Washington is clear: the blockade stays until the regime agrees to terms that protect American interests.
