The United States has reclaimed control over the critical Strait of Hormuz, with President Donald Trump confirming that the US Navy has successfully removed or detonated all mines placed by the Iranian regime.

This vital maritime artery, which previously facilitated 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas transit, had been largely shuttered by Iranian aggression since the outbreak of conflict in February. President Trump issued a clear, unambiguous warning on Truth Social, stating that any vessel caught laying new mines will be systematically destroyed.

This decisive action comes as the administration ramps up economic pressure on Tehran, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent signaling that nations continuing to financially partner with the Iranian regime will face total isolation.

Despite the collapse of previous diplomatic frameworks and Iran’s continued defiance, the administration is moving forward with a robust strategy of sanctions and military readiness.

While the regime in Tehran attempts to posture and negotiate temporary corridors through its own territorial waters, the United States remains committed to ensuring that this international waterway remains open for global commerce.

President Trump’s firm stance serves as a necessary check against Iranian expansionism, prioritizing national security and the stability of global energy markets over the failed appeasement policies of the past.
