DOJ Stands Firm: White House Access Is a Privilege, Not a Constitutional Right

The administration is pushing back against media outlets that peddle falsehoods and compromise national security.

The Trump administration is rightfully drawing a line in the sand, asserting that access to the White House is a privilege, not a constitutionally mandated right.

In a recent court filing, the Department of Justice hit back against CNN, Politico, and MS NOW, accusing these outlets of 'trafficking in verifiable falsehoods' and engaging in reporting that jeopardized national security.

The administration’s move to revoke the credentials of these organizations follows a pattern of biased, 'fake news' reporting, including reckless disclosures regarding sensitive White House security infrastructure, such as a security bunker and internal leak investigations.

While these media outlets are crying foul and hiding behind the First Amendment, the administration is correctly pointing out that the White House is not a public forum for those who prioritize partisan agendas over national safety.

Despite a coordinated effort by other media organizations to pressure the administration, the White House continues to bypass the mainstream media filter by communicating directly with the public through its own channels.

President Trump has remained unapologetic in his stance, labeling the conduct of these outlets as 'treasonous' and refusing to be bullied by networks that have long abandoned objective journalism in favor of a political crusade.
