President Trump cut short an interview with NBC's Kristen Welker on Friday after a series of combative exchanges, ultimately walking off the set and labeling the network as 'crooked.' The interview, filmed in Wisconsin, saw the President stand his ground against Welker’s repeated interruptions and attempts to frame his concerns about election integrity as baseless.

When pressed on his claims regarding the California primary and the 2020 election, Trump dismissed the media’s demand for evidence, noting that the ongoing delays and systemic issues in the voting process speak for themselves.

The friction escalated when Welker attempted to characterize the President’s stance as dishonest, leading Trump to call out the media’s clear bias.

After nearly an hour of dealing with technical delays caused by weather and what he described as a hostile line of questioning, the President ended the session, telling the presenter that the country cannot be great with a dishonest press.

Throughout the interview, Trump also addressed foreign policy, reiterating his commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons without committing the U.S. to endless conflicts.

Despite the abrupt end to the broadcast, reports indicate that the President and Welker later acknowledged the difficult conditions of the interview, with plans for a future sit-down.
