A horrific tragedy unfolded on the outskirts of Bangkok as a 14-year-old student at the Debsirin School executed a calculated and deadly rampage. The juvenile attacker first murdered his own grandparents at their home before proceeding to the school, where he gunned down five teachers.

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed the shooter took his own life while still in possession of over 30 rounds of ammunition, noting that the attack was clearly well-planned with specific goals in mind. Forensic investigators described the shooter's actions as highly accurate, targeting vital areas.

The violence left 23 others injured, nine of whom remain in critical condition. While the motive remains under investigation, authorities have seized computer equipment from the home where the shooter resided.

In the wake of the massacre, the Thai government is already moving to leverage the tragedy to push for further restrictions on civilian firearm ownership, with the Prime Minister pledging new legislation that would effectively limit the carrying of weapons to government officials on duty.

This marks the second school shooting in Thailand this year, reigniting a fierce debate over the effectiveness of current gun laws in a nation where illegal weapons remain a significant challenge for law enforcement.
