Ukraine has launched a series of calculated drone strikes against major logistics hubs belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, in a move aimed at crippling the supply chains fueling Moscow’s war machine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attacks, identifying these facilities as critical nodes used to distribute sanctioned components, navigation equipment, and military supplies for the Russian army.

The strikes, which occurred in the Tambov and Moscow regions, resulted in significant damage to infrastructure that experts describe as vital to Russia’s ability to sustain its invasion.

Serhii Kuzan of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Centre noted that these warehouses have been utilized by Russian volunteers to source body armor, walkie-talkies, and drone parts, making them legitimate targets in a war where Russia has consistently targeted Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.

While Russian officials reported casualties and damage, the strategic reality remains that Moscow’s logistics network is now facing the direct consequences of its own aggression.

Beyond the warehouses, Ukraine has intensified its campaign against Russian energy infrastructure, including oil facilities, to disrupt the fossil fuel exports that finance Putin’s war. By targeting the economic and logistical backbone of the Russian state, Ukraine is demonstrating that the cost of the invasion will be felt deep within Russian territory.
