French President Emmanuel Macron has officially sounded the alarm, confirming that Russia’s campaign of hybrid warfare against France and the broader European continent is rapidly intensifying.

Speaking from the Elysee Palace, Macron announced that he has ordered a comprehensive plan to fortify critical infrastructure and sensitive defense industry sites against a wave of cyberattacks, sabotage, and drone strikes.

This escalation, which Moscow predictably denies despite mounting evidence, is clearly designed to intimidate Western nations and fracture the alliance supporting Ukraine.

Macron’s directive follows a series of alarming incidents, including a recent drone strike on a passenger train near the Poland-Ukraine border and reports of suspicious fires at defense facilities across Europe, from Italy to Estonia.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has also warned of a real risk of Russian drone and missile strikes on NATO territory, noting that Moscow may attempt to mask these provocations as 'accidental' to test the alliance's resolve.

While Vladimir Putin continues to offer hollow denials of any intent to attack Europe, his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has issued thinly veiled threats, warning that any European intervention in Ukraine would be met with a swift and devastating response.

In addition to securing domestic infrastructure, Macron is moving to convene a G7 meeting to address energy security and the potential release of strategic reserves.

As the French government scrambles to respond to these external threats, Macron is also attempting to manage domestic political fallout, urging opposition leaders to avoid exploiting public anxiety over fuel inflation ahead of upcoming elections.
