The second-edition of the World Humanoid Games is officially underway in Beijing, China, as the regime showcases its latest advancements in robotics. The five-day competition, which began Saturday, features machines performing tasks that mimic human athleticism, including boxing, high jump, table tennis, and Tai Chi.

In a display of rapid technological progression, one robot has already reportedly outpaced the 100m sprint world record held by Usain Bolt. The event also featured theatrical displays, with droids performing synchronized marching during the opening ceremony and a robot mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo's signature 'Siuuu' celebration on the football pitch.

As nations compete for dominance in the emerging field of humanoid robotics, Beijing is positioning itself at the center of this high-stakes technological race.
