A quarter-century after the horrific September 11 attacks, the United States paused to honor the victims and the heroes who stood against the forces of radical Islamic terror.

President Donald Trump led a solemn ceremony at the Pentagon, joined by cabinet members and former national security officials, to underscore that the mission to protect the American homeland remains as critical today as it was in 2001.

In his remarks, President Trump connected the legacy of the post-9/11 era to the current geopolitical reality, issuing a firm warning that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never be permitted to possess a nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Vice President JD Vance joined all four living former presidents and first ladies at the World Trade Center site to read the names of the fallen.

The day was marked by moments of silence and the ringing of bells, including a new tribute to the thousands of first responders and survivors who have since succumbed to illnesses related to the toxic aftermath of the collapse.

While the nation stood in unity to remember the tragedy, the event also served as a reminder of the ongoing quest for accountability and the necessity of maintaining American strength.

From the heroics of the passengers on Flight 93 in Shanksville to the unwavering dedication of our first responders, the anniversary serves as a stark reminder that freedom is not free and that the threats to our sovereignty must be met with decisive, unapologetic force.
