Netanyahu Stands Firm: Israel Rejects Flawed Gaza Peace Roadmap

Despite pressure from Washington, the Israeli Prime Minister refuses to compromise on the total disarmament of Hamas terrorists.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has put national security above political convenience, explicitly rejecting a 15-point 'Board of Peace' roadmap that would have required Israeli concessions before the total disarmament of Hamas.

Netanyahu made his position clear to his cabinet, stating that Israel will not withdraw its forces until every piece of weaponry—heavy or light—is stripped from the terrorists who orchestrated the October 7 massacre.

While the White House has publicly downplayed the rejection as mere campaign rhetoric ahead of Israel's October 27 election, the reality remains that Israel cannot afford to gamble its survival on the promises of a terrorist organization that views armed struggle as a core precept.

Despite international pressure and the proposed deployment of an International Stabilization Force, skepticism remains high regarding Hamas's intent to comply with any agreement. Netanyahu, who faces a critical election, is balancing the need to maintain a strong alliance with President Trump while refusing to accept a deal that would leave Hamas in power.

As the conflict continues, the Israeli government remains focused on the necessity of 'absolute victory' rather than relying on the unverifiable assurances of international mediators.
