The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of precision strikes in Gaza City on Thursday, successfully neutralizing four senior Hamas security officials. The military identified the targets as Hassan Labad, the deputy head of the General Security Apparatus, alongside his subordinates Asim Shubair, Abdullah Abu Kaloub, and Mohammed Abu Marq.

These strikes, which utilized helicopter assets against four buildings in the Sheikh Radwan, Tel al-Hawa, and Shati refugee camp areas, represent a necessary continuation of Israel's effort to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure that remains embedded in civilian zones.

Hamas continues to hide its command structure behind the civilian population, a cowardly tactic that forces the IDF to strike where these terrorists choose to operate.

While reports from Hamas-run agencies attempt to emphasize collateral casualties, the reality remains that Israel is engaged in a defensive war against an enemy that initiated this conflict with the brutal October 7 massacre. Israel maintains its right to strike against Hamas as the terrorist organization continues its efforts to rearm and rebuild.

The IDF remains committed to its objective of degrading the capabilities of those who seek the destruction of the Jewish state, regardless of the propaganda efforts utilized by Hamas to shield its leadership from the consequences of their actions.
