The Israeli government is taking a firm stand against a new documentary that smears the Israel Defense Forces with allegations of intentional civilian harm. Culture Minister Miki Zohar has formally requested an investigation into the directors of 'Naza,' a film that relies on anonymous sources to push a narrative of systemic misconduct by the military.

Zohar is calling for the revocation of the filmmakers' citizenship, invoking the Citizenship Law which addresses breaches of allegiance to the State of Israel.

The Minister explicitly rejected the film's claims as 'false and distorted,' labeling the work an attempt to portray the IDF and the nation as perpetrators of crimes rather than a democracy defending itself against the Hamas terrorists who initiated this war on October 7, 2023.

While the filmmakers, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, claim their work is a rigorous investigation, the IDF has categorically rejected the allegations, with former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett slamming the project as a 'horrific blood libel' against Israeli soldiers.

As the nation remains engaged in a high-stakes conflict to secure its borders and eliminate the threat of Hamas, officials are rightfully questioning whether the production of such inflammatory material during wartime constitutes aiding the enemy.
