The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are systematically dismantling Hezbollah’s military infrastructure in southern Lebanon, utilizing controlled demolitions to neutralize positions that have been used to threaten Israeli civilians.

Satellite analysis confirms that over 1,400 structures have been leveled since March, a necessary tactical response to the Iranian-backed terror group’s decision to embed its operations within civilian areas.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has directed the military to accelerate these efforts, aiming to establish a secure buffer zone to prevent future cross-border invasions.

The IDF maintains that its actions are conducted in strict accordance with the Law of Armed Conflict, emphasizing that these demolitions are driven by imperative military necessity rather than convenience.

Hezbollah, which has been firing rockets and drones into Israel since March, has long utilized southern Lebanese villages as staging grounds for its aggression.

While international critics and academics attempt to frame these defensive measures as violations of humanitarian law, the reality remains that Israel is acting to protect its sovereignty and the lives of its citizens from a hostile, entrenched terror organization.

The IDF has categorically rejected claims that its operations are intended to target civilians based on religion or sect, noting that its primary objective is the neutralization of the military threat posed by Hezbollah.

Despite the inevitable displacement caused by the conflict, Israel’s mission remains clear: the destruction of the infrastructure used to facilitate terror attacks against its people.
