In a decisive blow against terrorism, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security service confirmed the elimination of Mohammed Odeh, the newly appointed head of Hamas's military wing.
Odeh, identified by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office as a primary architect of the brutal October 7 massacre, was neutralized after months of intensive intelligence surveillance. The operation targeted buildings in Gaza City that served as hideouts for Odeh and his inner circle of terror assistants.
Israeli officials have made it clear that their mission remains unchanged: those responsible for the murder, abduction, and wounding of Israeli citizens will be hunted down and held to account.
While Hamas continues to attempt to leverage civilian proximity to shield its leadership, Israel maintains its right to strike legitimate military targets to ensure national security.
Defense Minister Israel Katz reiterated that Israel is committed to dismantling Hamas’s ability to govern or operate militarily, signaling that the pursuit of those who participated in the October 7 atrocities will continue until justice is served.
Despite Hamas’s predictable attempts to frame the strike as a violation of ceasefire terms, the Israeli government maintains that it retains the authority to target terrorists who have failed to disarm or cease their hostilities against the Jewish state.
