The United States military has once again demonstrated that it will not tolerate Iranian aggression, launching self-defense strikes against missile sites and naval vessels attempting to deploy mines in southern Iran. U.S.

Central Command confirmed the strikes were a necessary measure to protect American troops from the persistent threats posed by Iranian forces near the Strait of Hormuz.

While the Iranian regime predictably decried the action as a 'violation,' the reality is that Tehran’s ongoing attempts to choke off a vital global shipping lane—through which one-fifth of the world’s oil passes—is the true act of aggression.

The strikes, reportedly centered near the naval hub of Bandar Abbas, serve as a clear reminder that the U.S. will defend its interests and the stability of global energy markets.

Despite ongoing diplomatic discussions in Doha involving Qatari mediators, the Iranian regime continues to play games, demanding the release of frozen funds while simultaneously posturing with claims of downing U.S. drones.

President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have rightly signaled that there is no need to rush into a weak deal with a regime that remains committed to its nuclear ambitions and regional destabilization.

The U.S. military’s actions are not an escalation; they are a long-overdue assertion of national sovereignty and a refusal to allow the world’s leading state sponsor of terror to dictate the terms of international security.
