Russian Forces Employ Brutal 'Safari' Tactics Against Ukrainian Medics

Moscow's systematic targeting of ambulances and hospitals reveals a calculated strategy to terrorize civilians and first responders.

The war in Ukraine has taken a dark and calculated turn as Russian forces increasingly target the very individuals tasked with saving lives. Paramedic Inna Lytvynenko, who narrowly escaped a drone 'safari' while attempting to treat a patient in Kherson, is just one of many medical professionals facing the lethal reality of Russian aggression.

These attacks are not mere accidents of war; they are deliberate, strategic strikes. Reports indicate that Moscow frequently employs a 'double-tap' tactic, hitting a location with an initial strike and then targeting the first responders who arrive to provide aid.

The World Health Organization has documented over 3,000 attacks on healthcare infrastructure since the invasion began, with the frequency of these strikes rising by 30% in 2024 alone.

Experts note that because FPV drones rely on live camera feeds, operators can clearly identify ambulances and medical uniforms before pulling the trigger, confirming these are intentional acts of violence.

As a result, humanitarian organizations like Doctors Without Borders have been forced to withdraw services from dozens of villages, leaving the elderly and vulnerable populations near the front lines without access to essential care.

By systematically dismantling the medical safety net, Russia is demonstrating a total disregard for the basic rules of conflict, turning the act of healing into a high-risk mission under fire.
