The Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist group has once again demonstrated its commitment to regional chaos, launching a coordinated barrage of ballistic missiles and drones against Yemeni government military camps.

The strikes, which hit targets in the Marib and Hadramawt provinces, have left at least 30 Yemeni troops dead, with some reports suggesting the toll could be significantly higher. The Yemeni defense ministry rightly denounced the strikes as a treacherous act of aggression and has vowed to respond.

The Houthis, acting as a clear proxy for the Iranian regime, brazenly claimed responsibility for the carnage, alleging they were targeting Saudi-backed forces. This latest escalation is not an isolated incident; the group also launched a separate strike into Saudi Arabia, wounding 11 civilians—including a young child—in the border region of Najran.

While international bureaucrats at the UN predictably called for 'restraint,' the U.S. mission to Yemen correctly identified the attacks for what they are: cowardly acts of terrorism.

The Houthis have spent years plunging Yemen into a humanitarian crisis, and their recent efforts to enforce a maritime embargo and strike energy infrastructure prove that they have no interest in peace.

As the Saudi-led coalition works to protect regional stability and shipping lanes, it is clear that the Houthis remain a primary obstacle to security, fueled by the malign influence of Tehran.
