Biden’s critique specifically targeted Trump’s $400 million proposal to expand the East Wing—a project Trump has maintained is vital for national security and hosting state guests.
The former president also took aim at Trump’s support for those prosecuted in the wake of the January 6th Capitol protest, baselessly framing the defense of these individuals as a misuse of taxpayer funds.
Biden’s outburst comes exactly two years after his own disastrous debate performance, which ultimately led to his removal from the 2024 ticket and Kamala Harris’s subsequent defeat.
